It can take either power input:
-You can charge using a standard NZ mains wall plug
-AND conveniently plug it into the cigarette lighter in you car!

Suitable for 2-4pcs AA or 2 AAA, 1.2V, Ni-Mh or Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries (Batteries must be charged in pairs.)

The fast charger is microprocessor controlled. The nominal time required to charge is based on battery capacity and residual charge, and varies from 0.8 to 4.5 hours per pair (double the time to charge 2 pairs).

LED displays the charging state:
* off/dark- faulty battery or incorrectly inserted
* flashing- charging at high rate
* steady on- above 85% of charge, trickle charge to maintain
